JDT Islam College of Physiotherapy

Established in 2005 under the University of Calicut, JDT Islam College of Physiotherapy became an independent, self-financing institution in 2010-11. Affiliated with Kerala University Health Sciences, Thrissur, it offers Bachelor of Physiotherapy and postgraduate programs in various disciplines since 2013. Operating from JDT Islam campus, Vellimadukunnu, Calicut, our Physiotherapy outpatient clinic & Rehabilitation center, inaugurated in 2012 (with a satellite clinic in the city center since 2016), prioritizes swift access to expert healthcare for patients' prompt recovery. Our renowned services have led to clinic expansion, offering diverse treatments facilitated by a team of skilled professionals. With a strong focus on community outreach, we recently initiated an NSS unit in 2021 and introduced a fellowship program in oncology physiotherapy in collaboration with the Malabar Cancer Centre in 2023.

Rehabilitation Center

JDT Islam college of Physiotherapy started a Physiotherapy outpatient clinic & Rehabilitation center associated with college in the year 2012. In 2016 we opened a satellite clinic associated with located at heart of the Calicut city. Provides follow-up services even after the treatment from the clinic .

Out Reach Programmes

We specialize in home care services, delivering essential training to families to aid patients in performing specific exercises using readily available and cost-effective materials. Our team of dedicated physiotherapists goes beyond conventional clinic settings, offering doorstep services to individuals lacking access to essential treatments. Our outreach includes camps and home visits, catering especially to those unable to continue their treatment within a clinic environment.

Moreover, through our collaboration with the NSS wing, we have significantly expanded our reach to rural areas, striving to enhance the well-being of underserved populations. Our efforts encompass a range of extension activities, including visits to tribal colonies, conducting medical camps, and providing vital necessities such as food and basic amenities to those facing hardships. Our goal remains to improve health outcomes and provide support to those in need through our diverse range of services and outreach initiatives.

Global Standards

The JDT Islam group of Institutions is committed to advancing the field of physiotherapy by leveraging our educational, scientific, research, and clinical expertise. We collaborate closely with Saxion University in the Netherlands to enhance this field. Moreover, we focus on fortifying the management capabilities and skill development of our faculty in partnership with esteemed institutions such as the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, and Aligarh Muslim University. Our Student Union actively supports these initiatives and endeavors.
